Lorry overturns after accident with car on PIE

A lorry and a car were involved in an accident along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on Saturday (May 29).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident along the PIE towards Changi Airport, near Toa Payoh exit, at 5.10pm.

Both drivers refused conveyance to hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Stomper Ray shared a video taken at the accident scene, showing the lorry lying on its side on the road.

The accident resulted in a lane closure. There was also a traffic jam till the Stevens Road exit, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) tweeted.
