A 34-year-old lorry driver was arrested for suspected drink-driving after an accident along Yishun Street 81 yesterday morning (March 25).
In response to queries by Stomp, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 10.54am.
The lorry driver is believed to have hit a lamppost along the pavement, near Block 844, before mounting a road divider.
Photos taken at the accident site show how a section of the pedestrian walkway, where the damaged lamppost was, had been cordoned off.
According to a witness who was at the scene at around 1pm, the accident resulted in a traffic jam involving several buses.
"Investigations are ongoing," added the police.
