A lorry caught fire on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards the Central Expressway (CTE), before the Lentor Avenue exit on Monday morning (May 13).

Stomper Lay See alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video she took as she was travelling along the SLE from the opposite direction.

Black smoke can be seen rising into the air from a distance.

"A lorry with goods was on fire at about 11.15am," she said.

In response to a Stomp media query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the vehicle fire at about 11.09am.

"The fire was extinguished by SCDF using one water jet," a spokesman said.

"There were no reported injuries."
