Lorry attendant in Malaysia charged with raping female neighbours aged 4 and 8

A Malaysian lorry attendant was charged in court on Tuesday (Nov 28) for allegedly raping his two female neighbours, aged four and eight. 

The accused Mohammad Azhar Sharidan, 25, was charged with two counts of rape on two separate occasions at their housing settlement of Taman Seri Mahkota Aman, Batu 11 in 2017.

He reportedly raped the four-year-old girl at a water tank between 5pm and 7pm in May 2017, and the eight-year-old girl at an oil palm plantation between 5pm and 7pm in August, reports New Straits Times. 

The fathers of both victims lodged police reports on Nov 6, and Azhar was arrested two days later. 

He will face a maximum jail term of 30 years and canning if he is found guilty under Section 376 (2) of the Penal Code. 

Judge Datuk Unaizah Mohammad has denied bail, and fixed Jan 5, 2018 for the next mention.
