An elderly woman was taken to hospital after getting injured at Yishun MRT station on Tuesday afternoon (March 12).

Stomper Sulaiman was at the bus stop outside the MRT station at around 2.10pm when he witnessed the scene.

He said: "The woman looked to be in her 70s. I think she had fallen."

Sulaiman commended station staff and passers-by who went to the auntie's aid, particularly a man who "assisted her from start to end."

Sulaiman said: "The man in white was a passer-by who offered help.

"The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived afterwards and I got on my bus."

In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF confirmed that it received a call for assistance and conveyed one person to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in an ambulance.
