Knuckle duster fight at Taman Jurong coffee shop: 2 men in their 60s arrested

Two men, aged 60 and 66, have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a fight that broke out at the S-11 coffee shop in Taman Jurong on March 3.

A video previously published by Stomp shows several men in a violent altercation at the Block 101 Yung Sheng Road eatery at around 7.20pm.

A 52-year-old man was conscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

He suffered facial injuries and was believed to have been assaulted with a knuckle duster, said the police in a statement on Wednesday (March 13).

When police arrived at the scene, his alleged assailants had fled.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from the police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identities of the two suspects and arrested them on March 11.

Both men will be charged in court on March 13 with voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon with common intention.

If convicted, they will be punished with a jail term of up to seven years, and/or a fine, and/or caning.
