Kind-hearted Uber driver charges only $4 for trip costing $15 after passenger accidentally keyed in wrong address

Stomper Brandon shared with Stomp a heartwarming experience he had while riding on a Uber trip with driver Hagen.

The incident happened at around yesterday (Jun 18).

At around 3.52pm, Brandon and his friend boarded the Uber car at Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4, noting that the trip would cost S$4. 

Halfway through the trip, they suddenly realised that he had typed in the wrong address and changed it to the correct address, Block 397 Toa Payoh Lorong 2, with the amended trip costing S$15 instead.

Despite the trip costing more than S$10 more, Hagen only collected the original S$4 fares after the ride.

Said Brandon:

“Even when we told him it was all right, he chose to only charge us S$4.

“Aside from that he was also really friendly and pleasant the entire trip.

“Such a shining example of an Uber driver!”
