K-pop idol Jun.K falls almost 3m off high platform during concert, rushed to hospital

K-pop idol Jun.K was rushed to hospital on Sunday (Feb 26) when he fell almost 3m off a high platform during a concert.

The idol, who is part of the boy group 2PM, had been getting ready to perform “Hands Up” at the group's 6 Nights concert, according to Koreaboo.

However, he fell when on a moving platform. The concert was immediately put on hold and he was rushed to hospital.

Fans expressed distress and hoped for his speedy recovery on social media.

After he was brought to the hospital, 2PM's label JYP Entertainment released a statement via allkpop:

“This is JYP Entertainment.

“Jun.K was immediately transferred to the hospital and received a thorough examination.

“The examination results showed that he has suffered from fractures in his right elbow and also in the 4th finger on his right hand.

“He will undergo the appropriate medical treatment and is now resting and being observed from the staff members.

“We sincerely apologize for not guaranteeing the safety of our artist and we apologize to our artist and all the fans.

“We will give an update on his health in the near future.”
