JTC Corporation has taken action to ensure compliance after a business owner noticed that a unit opposite from hers at Kaki Bukit's AutoHub had been converted into living quarters.

A Stomper, whose mum runs the business opposite M.S. Panel Beating, contributed videos and said: "My mum realised that every morning, the owner would send his son to work in a car.

"My mum has seen them coming back to the unit at about 11pm and the car is parked overnight.

"She started noticing this about three months ago but we never confronted the business owner directly.

"We made a formal complaint and JTC has gone down to our business unit to speak to my mum personally, telling her to give M.S. Panel Beating some time to find accommodation.

"House rules state that no premises can be converted into living quarters. Seems like JTC is taking the issue lightly since there wasn't any formal writing or anything.

In response to Stomp queries, a JTC spokesperson said: "We are aware of the unauthorised use of the unit at Kaki Bukit AutoHub as living quarters and have taken action to ensure compliance with the approved use in the Tenancy Agreement by end-Nov 2019."
