As an urban jungle, Singapore is full of flora and fauna that arewithin close range to its human residents.
Stomper Peter spotted a large monitor lizard at the park near Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Yishun yesterday (May 4), at around 2pm.
He told Stomp in a phone interview that this is the second time he had come across such a sighting, but was shocked as the animal was much closer this time.
The reptile was around 1.6 to 1.7 metres.
It was near the pedestrian walkway and gave other passers-by a shock too, added Peter.
