Stomper A.Guna was touched by an unexpected courtesy from the bus driver of Bus 147 this morning (Jul 24).

He was reading the newspaper on the bus when the driver turned on the lights for him.

He wrote:

"I was pleasantly surprised by the initiative and perceptiveness of the bus driver of the bus 147 (SBS 3153Z) this morning.

"As it was a long ride, I was reading my Straits Times.

"As the bus came to a stop at the traffic junction in-between Serangoon Rd and Upper Serangoon Rd, right under the PIE Expressway, it suddenly became dark.

"The driver must have noticed my reading the papers as he quickly switched on the lights which helped me to continue my reading while the bus was waiting for the traffic lights to change.

"I was delighted that such service minded drivers still exist. Well done!"
