Think you have good eyesight? They might be no match for the camouflaging abilities of these snails.
Stomper Lau Lup came across a group of snails after the rain yesterday morning (May 22), beside a drain near Yishun MRT station.
He said:
"According to my friend who is an expert on molluscs, the snails are likely Assiminea sp.
"This particular mollusk family tend to be found in mangroves. I have found another species that can only be found near fresh water.
"According to him, there are only about two species in Singapore that live near fresh water. It was an accidental find!"
Lau Lup also challenged readers to test their eyesight and see how many snails there are in the picture that he took.
