Hoax claims Chow Yun Fat has 'died from illness', wife responds that he's very healthy

A hoax circulating on Chinese social media sites claims that 62-year-old actor Chow Yun Fat has died "yesterday in Hong Kong from an illness".

A falsified image showed a newscaster and the fake message, with Chow in the background.

Responding to the hoax, Chow's Singaporean wife Jasmine Tan told Apple Daily that he was very much alive and well.

"My husband is fine, he's resting at home, you have no idea how healthy he is," she said.
