If you are looking for a quick getaway that is not too far away from home, Tanjung Piai in Johor might be the place for you.

Stomper Marco Polo shared this little-known location, which he described as a hidden gem and similar to Singapore's Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

The destination is full of wildlife, and a bold monkey even snatched a canned drink from Stomper Marco Polo.

He told Stomp: "Tanjung Piai is about half an hour’s drive from Kukup.

"This nature park is full of mangrove trees and faces the Straits of Malacca. It is also near to two islands near the Tuas bridge.

"It is estimated that when the two islands are fully developed, 700, 000 Chinese will settle on Forest City and the two islands."

The Stomper also shared some beautiful shots that he captured during his trip there. Check them out in the gallery.
