Helpful bus captain lends power bank to commuter with 5% phone battery

Having your phone die on you when you are outside can be incredibly frustrating.

Fortunately for a Stomper, a helpful bus captain came to the rescue with his power bank.

The heartwarming incident occurred at Boon Lay Bus Interchange on Thursday (June 23), at around 12.50pm.

The Stomper said: "Have you ever gone out after forgetting to charge your phone?

"Well, it was a sad day for me yesterday I forgot to charge my phone. I went to ask SMRT bus captain Khairulshafiq (saw his name on his name tag) of bus service 187 if he could lend me his power bank to charge my phone as my phone battery was 5%.

"Bus captain Khairulshafiq did not waste a second and passed me his power bank so that I could charge my phone during the journey.

"Before I alighted at Woodlands Bus Interchange, I returned him his power bank and thankd him for his help and kindness.

"I hope SMRT can share this compliment with bus captain Khairulshafiq! Well done, SMRT, for training this bus captain so well! Well done, bus captain Khairulshafiq!"
