Despite a ban on the use of e-scooters on public footpaths, several personal mobility device (PMD) users continue to flout the rules.

Stomp was alerted to several GrabFood PMD riders using their devices along walkways in Ang Mo Kio on Dec 12.

Photos showed at least two riders disobeying the rules.

In a video, one of the riders is seen crossing the road despite a red man showing.

Under the Active Mobility Act, PMDs are only allowed on cycling and shared paths.

Those caught flouting the rules can be fined up to $2,000 and/or jailed for up to three months if convicted.

Grab declined to issue a response when contacted by Stomp.
