God of Wealth returns -- this time with $2 angbaos for Orchard shoppers

It seems that Cai Shen Ye never fails to make people smile.

On Feb 12, we reported that two Stompers spotted the God of Wealth at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, handing out free chocolates to lucky commuters.

This time, Stomper Alvin came across the God of Wealth standing outside FatBoy's The Burger Bar in Orchard on 10 Feb.

"Saw this cute Cai Shen Ye standing there waving at me," said Alvin.

Upon ordering, he realised that it was a marketing strategy for FreeLor, an e-commerce app and website.

After paying his bill, the server had asked him to download the app and pay using the app.

Shortly after, he was given an Ang Bao containing $2.

Alvin told Stomp, "I was like surprised! It may be a marketing strategy, but giving out so many ang baos of real $2 is not a cheap marketing."

"Should give them a clap for the Cai Shen Ye standing there throughout the whole night," added the Stomper.
