Geylang Road brawl: 10 men arrested for rioting

Ten men, aged between 18 and 34, have been arrested for rioting at Geylang Road.

Stomp previously reported on the fight that happened in the wee hours of Thursday morning (Apr 4).

Stomper David alerted Stomp to a circulated video of the brawl.

The police said in a statement on Monday night that they were alerted to a fight along Geylang Road at about 3am last Thursday.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Bedok Police Division established the identities of the men and subsequently arrested them on Apr 5 and 6.

Police investigations are ongoing. 

If convicted of rioting, each of the suspects face a jail term of up to seven years and caning.

The police added that they are committed to keeping Singapore safe

"We will spare no effort to ensure that offenders are brought to justice and face the full brunt of the law," the statement said.
