A full-time national serviceman (NSF) was found dead at Sembawang Air Base on Friday (Sep 28) at 8.22am.
According to the Ministry of Defence (Mindef), the man was pronounced dead by a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) medical officer at about 8.31am.
The deceased, who was a transport operator from 706 Squadron, was found hanging by a rope in his office.
"The Ministry of Defence and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late serviceman," said Mindef in a news release.
"The police are investigating the incident.
"The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief."
