Thai channel gets mocked by netizens for censoring Miss World 2016 host's cleavage

A television (TV) channel in Thailand has become the subject of online mockery after censoring the cleavage of the host of the Miss World 2016 beauty pageant.

Thailand's Channel 3 decided to blur out the plunging neckline of one of the hosts, Megan Young.

The finals of this year's Miss World contest was held in Washington D.C. on Dec 16.

Puerto Rican contestant Stephanie Del Valle took the crown, reports Coconuts Bangkok.

Channel 3 broadcast the entire contest from the U.S but pageant fans noticed that Megan young's cleavage was blurred during the broadcast.

Most netizens were quick to criticize and mock the overly sensitive decision of the channel.

Pravit Rojanaphruk, a journalist, questioned the decision on his Facebook page: “Why broadcast beauty pageants when there's such censorship?”
