Poor kitten nearly gets run over several times on busy highway before meeting its 'guardian angel'

Death looked certain for a kitten that found itself stuck on a busy highway in Russia.

A video posted by In the NOW first shows the feline rolling on the road after falling off an SUV.

Thereafter many drivers simply drove their vehicles past the animal without stopping.

Many even drove over it and appeared to be unconcerned for its safety.

This story however has a happy ending.

Towards the end of a video a driver finally stopped his car by the road and rescued the kitten.

He walked towards it and held it up gently before taking it into his car.

Kudos to the 'guardian angel' who potentially saved the life of the small critter!
