Fundraiser organised for man whose 19-year-old sister tried selling her virginity to pay for his cancer treatment

A British expat living in Hangzhou, Samantha Gomersall, has put together a crowdfunding campaign for Xu Yanhong, 23, who suffers from acute lymphocytic leukemia.

His younger sister was spotted on the Hangzhou Metro last month offering to sell her virginity for 200,000 yuan (SGD 415,760) to help fund his treatment.

The fundraising video shows Xu and his mother living in a small, dirty one-room apartment, with no facilities other than a broken heater, just to stay close to the hospital, which is still a 30 minute subway ride away.

So far, the campaign has raised £3,775 of the £9,000 Gomersall is hoping to raise.
