Elderly German man finds wedding ring he lost 3 years ago -- on carrot growing in his garden

An 82-year-old man in Germany thought he would never find the wedding ring he lost while gardening three years ago.

However, his garden had other ideas, reports Bored Panda.

When the man checked on his carrots recently, he was surprised to find his wedding ring stuck in one of the vegetables.

The carrot had grown through the ring and brought it to the surface, reuniting it with its owner.

The man said his late wife always believed he would find it again, and the carrot proved her right.
