Driver loses control of crane after allegedly having seizure, almost crushes motorist in car

A quick-thinking driver narrowly escaped being crushed by a runaway crane in Bukit Tumbuh, Malaysia.

Syukri Mohamad Ibrahim, 35, was in his Proton Wira when it was hit by the crane and pushed forward about 15m before coming to a halt.

As the crane pushed his car forward, Syukri managed to jump out and escape unhurt, reports The Star.

It is believed that the crane driver, 36, had suffered an epileptic seizure and lost control of his vehicle.

Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Idris Abd Rafar confirmed that the incident took place at 3.40pm on Thursday.

The crane driver was taken to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital here for observation.
