A cat has been saved for a second time after it was discovered with a heavy amount of mat on its body.
Western PA Humane Society posted on their Facebook page about how a cat was received by Animal Rescue League Shelter & Wildlife Center after its owner who was an elderly went into a nursing home.
According to them, she had years of mats and grime which accumulated on its body.
The post reads, "She will be cared for by a distant relative of the previous owner and have a chance at a happy and healthy life."
They signed it off with a reminder for residents not to look out only for the elderly but for the animals that might get insufficient care from them as well.
