Body of newborn baby found beside garbage bin at Malaysia food court

The body of a newborn girl was found dumped at a food court in Batu Ferringhi, Malaysia, at 9am yesterday (May 16).

According to The Star, the baby was found in a box that was placed beside an orange rubbish bin.

A cloth was draped over the girl and her umbilical cord was still intact.

Police were alerted to what happened by a passerby.

A police spokesperson said that there were no injuries on the body.

Investigations by the state criminal investigation department are ongoing.
