Armless man in China denied housing loan -- because he couldn't provide fingerprints

According to Shanghaiist, an armless 25-year-old man by the name of Wu Jianping has had a loan application turned down because he was unable to provide a bank with fingerprints.

He was told by a staffer that fingerprints were required for security and legal purposes.

Netizens got wind of what happened and criticised the bank's decision stating that they were unfair.

Fortunately for Wu, he was eventually offered a loan by a bank thereafter.

Government officials have also pledged to come up with arrangements for people like him.

Wu lost both his arms after getting shocked by electricity when he was 5 years old.

Since then, he has written with his mouth.
