Flames engulf lorry on slip road into PIE towards Tuas

A lorry caught fire along a slip road into the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Tuas, near Clementi Avenue 6, earlier this morning (April 27).

Stomper Ah Boy contributed a video of the vehicle fire and said it has been circulating online.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire involving a lorry at 7.54am.

The fire was extinguished by the SCDF using one water jet.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
