Stomper Aikyle was taken off guard when he heard loud 'banging' noises from his home at Block 377 Bukit Batok Street 31 on Saturday night (June 8).

He told Stomp the fireworks display occurred between 8 to 9pm.

"I was inside the toilet and thought someone was banging on the door," he said.

"I went out and heard the noise from my kitchen.

"That's when I saw the fireworks.

"I think it's illegal but it was a good show."

Stomper Kumu informed Stomp he saw the fireworks too.

Stomp understands the fireworks were discharged from a school in the area.

It had applied for a permit to set off the fireworks for a school event that night.
