Fire involving praying altar breaks out at Teban Gardens Road unit

A fire broke out in a flat at Block 52 Teban Gardens Road on Friday evening (March 8).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it responded to the incident at 7.06pm.

The fire, which involved a praying altar, was extinguished by the SCDF using one water jet.

Two Stompers contributed photos showing the block's charred external facade after the fire.

One of them also shared a video of smoke emitting from the unit.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
