Fire involving construction materials breaks out in Bedok Reservoir View unit

A fire broke out in a flat at Block 771 Bedok Reservoir View on Thursday afternoon (Apr 2).

A Stomper submitted a video showing smoke billowing from the unit and a photo of firefighters at the scene.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told Stomp that it was alerted to the fire at around 3.30pm.

A spokesman said: "The fire, which involved construction materials in a seventh-floor unit, was extinguished by SCDF using a fire extinguisher.

"No evacuation was conducted and there were no reported injuries."

The cause of fire is under investigation.
