"So I got up to check whether it was my air conditioner that was burning, then I saw smoke outside.
"I went down to check if anyone needed help but the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was already there so I went to the opposite block instead to take a video of the fire."
Another Stomper, who is a resident of Block 183, said he was woken up by the noises coming from a dog and a bird.
In a video taken by the Stomper, a crowd of people is seen at the ground level, along with some dogs and a parrot.
