Fire breaks out in 15th floor unit at Kim Tian Road

A fire broke out in a 15th storey unit at Block 131B Kim Tian Road earlier today afternoon (April 13).
Stompers Ho and Hakida contributed videos showing smoke emitting from the affected unit and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responding to the incident.
Ho said: "I was walking up from the pathway after finishing my lunch, when I saw a lot of people standing at the shelter.
"That was when I noticed a unit on the 15th floor had caught fire."
In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said it was alerted to the fire, which involved the contents of the living room, at about 1.10pm.
The fire was extinguished using one water jet and a compressed air foam backpack.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
