Fire breaks out at Thomson-East Coast MRT line construction site along Straits Boulevard

A fire broke out at a construction site along the upcoming Thomson-East Coast MRT line, near Marina Bay MRT Station, on Monday morning (Dec 24).

Stomper Roger alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos showing Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) vehicles at the scene.

In response to a Stomp media query, an SCDF spokesman said they responded to the fire at Straits Boulevard at around 10am.

"The fire involved contents of a construction site and was extinguished by SCDF using a 38mm water hose," he said.

There were no reported injuries.
