Fire breaks out at steamboat restaurant at North Bridge Road

A fire broke out in a steamboat restaurant along North Bridge Road on Monday night (Nov 29).

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the incident at 812 North Bridge Road at around 8.45pm.

The fire involved a kitchen exhaust duct and was extinguished by SCDF using two water jets.

Stomper Watson shared videos of the blaze, as well as those showing police and SCDF officers at the scene.

About 20 people self-evacuated from the premises prior to SCDF's arrival and there were no reported injuries.

Member of the public are reminded to heed the following safety tips on preventing kitchen exhaust duct fires.
