Fire breaks out at Lorong Limau HDB unit

A fire broke out at a fifth-floor unit at Block 77 Lorong Limau on Tuesday morning (Sep 14).

Stomper Martha alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video she took of smoke coming from the block and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers at the scene.

In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said it was alerted to the fire at about 11.25am.

"The fire involved contents of a kitchen in a unit on the fifth floor," an SCDF spokesman said.

"SCDF extinguished the fire using a dry powder extinguisher."

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
