Female taxi driver taken to hospital after accident with car and bus along Commonwealth Ave West

A 64-year-old female taxi driver was taken to hospital after she was involved in an accident with a car and a bus along Commonwealth Avenue West towards Jalan Boon Lay on Wednesday morning (May 8).

Stomper Aron alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo he took as he was passing by the scene in a bus near Dover MRT Station.

In the photo, a white car appears to be badly damaged. Its bumper is seen on a grassy patch along the pavement.

A bus captain is seen on the phone next to a lamppost that is lying on the ground.

In response to a Stomp media query, the police said they were alerted to the accident involving a car, a bus and a taxi at about 9.19am.

The taxi driver, a 64-year-old woman, was conscious when she was taken to National University Hospital, a spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
