A thunderstorm left destruction in its wake at Murai Farmway, near the Lim Chu Kang cemetery, earlier today afternoon (March 30).

Several Stompers contributed photos and videos of the incident.

They show collapsed structures, debris and fallen trees at the site.

Stomper Queen Mary said: "A chicken farm was destroyed by heavy rainfall and wind.

"Chickens were all over the scattered farm area.

"Even some trees were uprooted from the ground."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a case of an injured person at 2, Murai Farmway, at about 3.50pm.

A 38-year-old worker at a vegetable farm was conscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital with injuries on his leg and abrasions on his body.

According to The Straits Times, the zinc structures of local egg-farming giant Seng Choon Farm were razed to the ground after the strong winds.

A witness said the roof at the chicken farm had been blown away, adding: "The structures had collapsed. The area affected is at least the size of three football fields."

Stomper Tiff, who drove past the scene at around 5pm, told Stomp: "You can see the chickens everywhere."
