Family of driver injured in hit-and-run on SLE appealing for witnesses

The family of a driver who was involved in an alleged hit-and-run accident on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Nov 21 at 1pm are appealing for witnesses.

Facebook user Alvin Soh, the son of the driver, posted photos of his father's wrecked car.

He wrote that his father was driving along the SLE towards Upper Thomson when his car was "hit from the rear by a truck and was subsequently hit from the rear again by another lorry before hitting the central divider".

He alleges that the truck driver drove away from the scene and did not "even stop to check".

He urged any drivers or witnesses who were there at the time and have video footage of the incident to contact him.

"Nobody on the road should act like this, putting other drivers' [lives] in danger," he wrote.

He added that his father managed to get away with just a "few scratches and a lightly fractured hand".
