A family is offering a $2000 reward for the safe return of their lost cat.

The cat was last seen on Nov 18 at Jalan Lekub, Seletar Hills.

He is a brown male tabby with black markings, a white belly, and white paws.

He also has a medium hair coat, weighs about 5kg, and is wearing a red collar with a small bell and no tag.

The cat's owner is desperately looking for his pet and wants him found -- dead or alive.

"I'm not going to give someone $2000 for a body.

"But if anyone sees my cat run over by a car or something, I'd really appreciate it if they gave me a call."

In a phone interview, the owner stated that the cat had been with their family for 17 years, and they are devastated by his loss.

"For the past month, my sister and I have been walking the streets almost every night, sometimes for up to 3-4 hours, searching our neighbourhood and the surrounding areas.

"We've put up missing posters at 40 different HDB blocks.

"Someone may have taken him in, thinking he's a stray, but he's an old cat and he's not going to live for much longer.

"My family is devastated and we are really desperate to get him back."
