"Thank you very much for your kind assistance."

Original article:

An elderly woman is hoping to track down a long-lost friend who saw her through multiple trials and tribulations in the 60s and 70s.

Stomper Mohd said his mother, who is currently 78 years old, has been wanting to reconnect with 'Ah Gek' for decades but did not know how.

Her hope was renewed after she read about a series of successful reunions this month thanks to Stomp.

Mohd said: "My mother Bibi is looking for her long-lost friend, known affectionately as Ah Gek.

"Ah Gek knows my mum as 'Deken'. They got acquainted in 1965, when Ah Gek worked in my mum's uncle's house in Opera Estate.

"The last time they met was during the late 70s in the old Patterson Road area. They lost touch sometime around 1975 when Ah Gek moved away.

"Ah Gek might currently be living the Simei area. She should be around 60 to 66 years old now."

Mohd shared a photo of Ah Gek and her husband:

The Stomper added: "Ah Gek is like family to my mum. She has seen her through everything that my family has gone through, be it good times, challenging situations or life-changing moments like marriage.

"My mum has been wanting to look for Ah Gek for decades as she would like to know how her life has turned out over the years, but did not know how or where to search until she found out that Stomp has helped people connect after decades.

"She would like to give it a try too and I would be very grateful if everyone could help with her search."
