E-scooter riders speed in middle of road, weave in and out of traffic at Jln Eunos and Upp Serangoon

E-scooter riders were caught on video riding in the middle of the road and weaving dangerously in and out of traffic on two separate occasions.

Both videos were posted on Facebook, one was taken along Jalan Eunos and another happened at Upper Serangoon Road.

According to the timestamp on the video, the Jalan Eunos incident happened last Friday (Aug 24) at about 11.13pm.

In the video posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook group, three e-scooter riders are seen travelling in the left-most lane, matching the speed of motorists on the road.

At one point, the first rider swerves and cuts across two lanes before overtaking a car and returning to the lane he was in.

According to the timestamp on the Upper Serangoon Road video, the incident happened on Saturday (Aug 25) at 3.25am.

In the video shared on ROADS.sg, two riders are seen travelling on the left side of the road.

According to the contributor, he sounded his horn at the "lead rider" and wound down his window to tell them to get off the road. He then alleged that the e-scooter rider "chased" him although this was not caught on video.

Netizens have admonished the e-scooter riders for riding on the road despite not being allowed to.

Other e-scooter riders said that these "black sheep" spoil the image for the rest who are law-abiding.
