E-scooter rider tries to run away after being stopped by LTA officer

An e-scooter rider who was stopped by a Land Transport Authority (LTA) officer then attempted to run away.

A video of the incident was captured by Sam Junior, who posted it to the SG Roads Vigilante Facebook group on Dec 28.

From the video, it appears that LTA was conducting enforcement checks in the area as two LTA officers can be spotted standing near two e-scooters that had been placed behind a lorry.

An e-scooter rider was then stopped by one of the LTA officers. In just a matter of a few seconds, the e-scooter rider proceeded to run away.

The LTA officer then gave chase and managed to stop the e-scooter rider from fleeing.
