Resistance is futile.

A drunken man was caught on video struggling with police at a Woodlands coffee shop on Sunday night (Feb 5).

He was eventually apprehended after being wrestled to the floor by the two policemen.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at Woodlands Industrial Park E7 at 8.31pm.

"A 48-year-old man was arrested for causing annoyance to the public when drunk under Section 14(2) of the Liquor Control Act," said police, adding that investigations are ongoing.

In the one-minute video shared by sgfollowsall, the man appeared to be just arguing with the two policemen at first.

When he suddenly started flailing his arms, the police tried to restrain him, but he continued to resist until one of the policemen pointed a finger at the man and shouted in his face.

Thoughout the video, loud music was being played in the background and people stopped to watch the altercation.

The bystanders can be heard mocking and laughing at the drunken man.

When he was finally forced onto the ground by the policemen, one of them reached for his back pocket and someone said: "Here come the handcuffs."

One netizen commented on the video: "I mean attacking TWO ARMED police officers that are professionally trained and also bigger than you definitely doesn’t seem like a good idea."
