Drunk driver arrested after crashing car into tree along Braddell Road

A man was arrested for suspected drink driving after crashing his car into a tree along Braddell Road on Sep 27 at around 11.25pm.

In a video of what happened posted on ROADS.sg, the car can first be seen travelling on the first lane of the three-lane road.

The driver then mounted the kerb and crashed into a tree at a relatively high speed.

The car's bonnet was severely damaged and debris was strewn across the road.

The accident involved another car as well as a taxi.

Said a police spokesman in response to a Stomp query over the accident:

"On Sep 27, 2017, at 11.25pm, police were alerted to an accident involving two cars and one taxi along Braddell Road towards Lornie Road.

"A male taxi driver was conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"A male car driver was arrested for suspected drink driving.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
