Speeding cab slams into tipper truck changing lanes on BKE

Oh look, another tipper truck accident -- but this time involving a taxi.

In this video posted by Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road and submitted by Owen Yeo, a speeding taxi crashes into the rear of a tipper truck that is changing lanes on the BKE highway.

According tot he Facebook post, The accident took place along SLE(BKE) near Woodlands Ave 12 exit on 14 December 2016 at about 8.40 am.

The under-a-minute video shows a tipper truck switching to from the third lane to the second lane, while an oncoming speeding taxi crashes into the rear.

The impact of the crash was so great that the taxi's hood was badly damaged, with pieces all over the road.

The tipper truck on the other hand, escaped without any damages.

And many netizens expressed their views on the situation.

Some felt the tipper truck was in the wrong, others the taxi, and some felt both were wrong.

Said a netizen:

"Tipper Truck got no business in the middle lane plus filter with out signaling it seems.  Taxi driver speeding + not paying attention. Easily can avoid that tipper lorry. Both drivers are wrong. Tipper truck driver especially.'

Said another:

"Totally don't understand how can this accident happen. Taxi can brake. Taxi can swerve back into right lane. But taxi chose to ram into truck. I clap for you..."
