Driver was this close to hitting cyclist after failing to stop at zebra crossing

A driver almost hit a cyclist after failing to give way at a zebra crossing.

According to a caption on a video of the incident posted on Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road, the incident took place on Jun 21 at around 6.16pm.

In the video, the car driver can be first seen stopping to allow an e-scooter rider to cross the zebra crossing.

A cyclist then followed behind the e-scooter with the intention of crossing the road as well.

However, the car driver suddenly accelerated instead of giving way. Thankfully, the driver managed to jam on his brakes and avoided an accident.

The cyclist gestured at the driver, who then drove away from the scene thereafter.
