Driver taken to hospital after lorry overturns along Kranji Road: "Sand was everywhere"

A 36-year-old lorry driver was taken to hospital after the vehicle he was driving overturned at the junction of Kranji Road and Woodlands Road on Wednesday afternoon (Sep 4).

Stomper Lim alerted Stomp to the accident and shared a video he took as he was passing by the scene in a taxi at about 7.15pm.

"There was sand everywhere," he said.

"It almost looked like a beach."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 4.33pm.

"The lorry driver, a 36-year-old man was conscious when conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
