Driver stops just in time to avoid hitting e-scooter rider zipping across road

A video posted online shows how the quick reaction of a driver almost certainly saved an e-scooter rider's life.

The video was posted on ROADS.sg's Facebook page with the time stamp indicating that the incident happened on Nov 14.

It is unclear where it occurred.

In the video, the rider comes zooming from behind a blind corner at the same time the driver of a vehicle is approaching a stop sign.

The driver managed to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting the rider by mere inches.

The e-scooter rider was also taken by surprise, braking hard, causing the back wheel of his device to lift off the ground.

After regaining his nerves, he scoots off.
