Driver of Volkswagen SKH4783A drives off after swinging car door open and allegedly hitting SUV

Upon returning to their sport utility vehicle (SUV) after breakfast, (Aug 9), Stomper Chin’s wife discovered that there was a deep dent on the left fender of the car.

The incident happened at a carpark behind ABC Brickworks Market & Food Centre, in 6 Jalan Bukit Merah, at around 10am today (Aug 9). 

Chin’s wife immediately told him about it, and when they reached home, he checked through the footage on his dashboard camera to find out what happened while they were away. 

After reviewing the footage, Chin was shocked to see that the driver of a white Volkswagen SKH4783A, which was parked beside his vehicle, had swung his door open, striking his SUV.

The driver immediately drove off after the incident. 

Said Chin:

“I wonder why he suddenly opened his door, or why he had to open it so wide, and hit my car.

“This is inconsiderate, and I have done no wrong to him.“
